What's the best kind of politics in EDH? The kind that starts conflict and spreads the pain  I've been working on this EDH deck and I've been trying to narrow down the cards a bit better and fix the mana curve. ANY suggestions and feedback are welcome (especially if you can give me more "politics" cards  ). My group is fairly casual and its always multiplayer heavy when we play EDH.

Your trying to do too many things at once. At a glance, I see land destruction, discard, elves all as sub themes. Your not focusing any one of these enough for it to be truly effective. You are running some amazing cards (Survival, Tooth and Nail, Tutor spells, Sol Ring, Skullclamp, Gaea's cradle) but after that your deck goes in so many directions at once, it accomplishes very little consistently.

I'd definately drop Kudzu, Worms of the Earth, Necra Sanctuary, lurking predators, and door of destinies. The first two are land destruction or denial, which is like asking a multi player table to cut your throat and handing them the knife. Necra sanctuary just isn't that big of an affect, and the last two need very high creature counts to make them really effective. Replacing those five with some combination of lands will help immensely in actually consistently casting your other spells when you want to.

Do not drop Damnation, it is a very reliable creature sweeper. I would, however, debate dropping Pulse as in EDH it is only really amazing against tokens which Pernicious deed does an amazing job of handling anyway.

Gauntlet of power seems sort of 'meh' in a two color deck. It's really at it's best in a mono-color strategies.

Sosuke, son of Seshiro does seem rather out of place as well.

In general, I'd drop some of the 'political' cards like the chains and add in some big black and/or green things that are worth getting with Tooth and Nail. Gleancrawler is great with small creatures that you sacrifice for some affect, like Yavimaya elder or Sakura tribe Elder. Terastodon[ is also great, being very large and clearing away problem permanents. Woodwraith corrupter will take amazing advantage of your creakwood liege, churning out 6/6 elemental horrors every turn from your spare lands.

If you want creatures that also force discard, I'd recommend greel, mind raker as reusable hand wipe and silent specter as a flying threat that forced double discard and can even morph if needed.

Mindslicer, Myojin of Night's Reach, Geth's Grimoire(crazy with words of waste,) Primeval Titan(I herd he is really good,) [Necrogen card]Mists[/card], Bottomless Pit, and Darksteel Plate(really good with nath with all the hate he gets)

***Updated my list!***

-Dropped quite a bit of the "traveler" cards. Still have smog/acid, might drop acid.
-I'd like to fit in Geth's Grimoire and Mindslicer, what should I trade out?
-Also think I'm gonna replace Krosan Tusker with Primeval Titan - good call.
-I kinda like having Sosuke still. It gives him, Vhati, Rhys, Eladmri, and all the tokens Deathtouch. Just makes the little guys a lot scarier to deal with. Push comes to shove I may drop him for Mindslicer or something.

What ya guys think of the mana curve or amount of land? Any things not needed? Considering there is a lot of discard that hits me as well, thought about using grafted skullcap and/or ensnaring bridge.
